Eoghan Cunneen

Eoghan is a Senior Pipeline Engineer at Lucasfilm’s Advanced Development Group, a research and development team within Lucasfilm’s New Media division tasked with investigating real time techniques to expand the Star Wars universe across all platforms and powering much of the new ILMxLAB experiences.

Prior to joining Lucasfilm, Eoghan was a Lead Pipeline Technical Director at Framestore. Joining the company in 2009, he developed production software for films such as Clash of the Titans, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang and the final installments of the Harry Potter franchise. Later, he spent two years in production on Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity, writing software for Framestore’s on set workflow and carrying out layout animation and procedural effects work.

From 2013 Eoghan spent two years at Framestore’s Montreal offices for the initial setup of the studio. They worked on José Padilha’s Robocop, Doug Liman’s Edge of Tomorrow, The Wachowski’s Jupiter Ascending, Gary Shore’s Dracula Untold and Paul King’s Paddington.

Eoghan is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin’s Computer Science department and a founding member of The Irish VFX + Animation Summit.
